King of the Universe

Today is the last Sunday in the church year, next week being the first Sunday of Advent - already!

Baruch Atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech Ha'Olam!

this means Blessed are You, King of the Universe (roughly - I don't speak Hebrew, but I know this prayer).

To Thee be endless praise,
For Thou for us hast died;
Be Thou, O Lord, through endless days
Adored and magnified.

  1. I took Mum to her church yesterday and they celebrated Christ the King with High Mass, a procession and then Benediction. All very lovely - beautiful music and lots of incense.

    1. A procession and Benediction would have been nice - I was wondering if we'd have something like that, but we didn't. So, she is doing pretty well - well enough to go to church, anyway? And here we are at the door of Advent. xo

  2. Yes, Mum is doing very well though the only time she goes out is when she has doctors/hospital appointments, when she visits us and when I take her to church once a fortnight. I took her out to choose her new carpet a while ago and sadly, we are travelling to Kent with her this Friday to attend my aunt's funeral. She was Mum's younger (by seven years) sister so it has been a shock to her and to us all. Advent already! Where has this year gone? :)
