Today I finally made Anna's tea loaf. Loads of fruit, but no shortening of any kind. It calls for a small amount of orange marmalade, which I used, but you could just as easily use honey, I'm sure.
Do you know I have a whole binder full of Anna's printed off recipes, and my other favorite Sherelle from My Crazy Life as A Farmer's Wife. I have not tried the tea cakes, glad to know they are delicious!
Susan, Anna's is the first blog I ever read, and still my favorite. Here's the recipe http://pleasantviewschoolhouse.blogspot.com/2012/10/fruity-tea-loaf.html
