Wow! Snow already! you must be feeling very wintery. Our weather is all over the place at the moment - very cold yesterday, but it's meant to go up to 18C tomorrow!
Val, it is sad to see trees down, but I'm getting to where I don't want tall trees so close to the house. Last night I was watching snow-covered limbs swaying in the wind, leaning toward the house, and wondering if they'd fall and put a hole in the kitchen before morning. Scary!
Rachel, now I have to look up 18C and what that Fahrenheit version of that is! :)
You must live near me :-) (I live in eastern Massachusetts). The damage from this storm took everyone by surprise. There were trees and limbs down throughout our little neighborhood. We were lucky in that we only lost power for about five hours. Neighboring towns were without power for days.
Oh my goodness!!!
ReplyDeleteHave you just had snow!??
It looks beautiful
but please keep it on your side of the ocean!
I don't want any of that white stuff just yet!
Take care of yourself Lisa.

Yes, we had heavy, wet snow, Fiona. And there are limbs down everywhere - most folks are without electricity.
ReplyDeleteSo, you have snow in Ireland sometimes?
Oh, how sad. I know it's nature and it happens, but it's always sad to me to see trees down.

Wow. The snow is beautiful! But, oh that clean up and the people with out power! Just amazing...
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that the weather is playing havoc. It is on the cool side here too right now especially as we are getting close to summer.
ReplyDeleteThe trees do look very pretty with the snow but I can understand your concern about safety.
Wasn't that just crazy?
