unexpected

We knew it would snow overnight, only two to five inches, and over a fifteen-hour period.

early morning

But it came faster, and heavier, and I got an email first thing that said the Town offices were closing, and that included the library. A snow day!

What is it about a snowfall that compels you to feel quiet inside, even while you are joyfully going about finishing up what you didn't do the day before.

  1. Hi, Lisa! We had snow here, too! Not much, of course. It was the ice that was the greater concern, and our local public schools were closed both yesterday (due to the timing of the arrival of the snow) and today. Very cold temperatures tonight will ensure we have extra cover on the bed!

  3. Lovely, dark and deep! We have had heavy frosts this week, but no real snow. We do so love real snow! But I'm glad that we brought the little fig tree inside a while ago...

    1. I've seen photos of the heavy frosts you get over there, and they are so beautiful! We don't get that here, at least not where I am.
