Thank you, Clare. I'm very relieved, and we don't see wrens that much in winter, either. My brother always bought plain sunflower seeds for a feeder we had on a pole, but he decided not to set it up this season because Mr. Kibble was near by. Now the ground is too hard to stick the pole in. I saw this idea in (British) Country Living, although they used lard.
