return of the catbirds

The catbirds are back - I heard one just now.  I have a fondness for them; they're related to my favorite, the mockingbird.  I don't know when they arrived, but I suspect they wait until all danger of cold is passed before their return.

    I always think that summer is nearly here when all the birds have returned.

    What a lovely seasonal harbinger! We don't get Catbirds at our place, but had noticed the Yellow Warblers are back, zinging through the yard.
