In trying really hard to use up things in the cupboard, I searched for a recipe which called for coconut milk. Whatever I'd bought that can for, it hadn't happened. I found a nice soup recipe.
Oh, this was so delicious! You can imagine the aroma of two onions, four cloves of garlic, cardamom, cumin, turmeric, coriander and a bay leaf sauteeing. My brother told me I could make
this soup anytime.
Sounds good to me!

DeleteHi Lisa, thank you for stopping by my blog and welcoming back online.♥ This recipe looks really delicious--I followed the link and now I think I have a new blog to add to my reader, too. I really want to make more vegetable-based suppers, and it looks like Katie has some recipes my family will like. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa, it sounds delicious, I bought 2 extra spice yesterday and a lovely cauliflower, so will cook it up today, luckily my friend Hilary has a bay tree and I was there for morning tea yesterday so cooking soup after 5 inches of rain over the weekend will be this mornings activity.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed to hear of how much rain you folks have been getting, Margaret!
Deletethat's so nice!!! I will have to try this someday!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, of course you don't have to use coconut milk, but any kind of milk what's handy. But it's so tasty!
DeleteHow much cauliflower? Do you have a recipe to share?
ReplyDeleteMartha, it calls for a large head of it - there's a link in the text.
