...the earthquake was felt at the library today. But I didn't feel it - I was in a centrally located room there, on the main floor; maybe that's why.
A geologist on the Newshour said the Haiti earthquake was ten or fifteen times what we had today. He said the Japan earthquake was one thousand times worse than Haiti's.
We are fortunate.
I didn't like the swaying at all. I can't imagine what it must have been like during the quakes in Haiti and Japan.
ReplyDeleteWOW! My brother, who lives in DC, had his cell service knocked out for a while. He is fine though, it just took him by surprise!
ReplyDeleteYes, and we're going to have a little hurricane tonight! What fun! (but I really don't mean to make light of it. I'm glad it's been a bit weakened, and won't be quite the monster it was originally supposed to be)
