Here we have the good girl eating her cauliflower - steamed, with tarragon - I never suspected that a cat would care for vegetables.
It started when she was eyeing our baked potatoes, but we thought it must be the butter. She'll eat them plain, though.
Then she tried winter squash, yumm. She does not like sweet potato, however.
The crucifers, now - she really enjoys them - broccoli, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts - did you hear me?
Maybe you knew this - but I never expected to see a cat eat Brussels sprouts. And like them!
I knew there had to be a reason you said you should make them for Dolly - she really is a doll, eating her veggies!

ReplyDeleteBut then, I wouldn't have thought that Mia, our first cat, would eat peas. One day, when my mom was making pea soup, Mia cried so desperately and so desperately tried to reach the peas that mom gave her all the discards, and Mia ate them all.
P.S. Although it must have been the butter... also. Mia was crazy about butter. Are all cats? Is Dolly?
ReplyDeleteThat pea story is cute, Hana! Dolly loves butter, too, but she'll eat vegetables without it, so that's not the reason - she just likes them! Henry doesn't seem interested.
ReplyDeleteAll our animals like their veggies too! The only thing mine won't eat is broccoli - but everything else is gobbled up.
