It was cold today, mid-thirties and breezy, but the sun was bright and there's something in the air - spring! The birds are singing a lot more now. It's so welcome.
The Christmas cactus at the library is blooming again!
I remember, several years back, a particularly good summer here for hydrangeas, and you said it was the same over there! This is interesting, isn't it? It's not like Europe is next door; I find this fascinating! :D Surely it means something.....
It is interesting! The event many people have been talking about recently is the effect that the volcanic eruption near Tonga in January 2022 is having on us now. The volcano is under the sea and enormous quantities of water shot up into the stratosphere. The warming effects we have had recently and the very cold and snowy winter Scandinavia has had are all supposedly caused by the water in the stratosphere. All our rain this winter as well - so much flooding everywhere! I willl try to attach a link for you to read if Blogger will allow it :) https://www.science.org/content/article/massive-undersea-eruption-filled-atmosphere-water
I never heard of this! So much extra water up high like that, for half a decade! I remember that explosion near Tonga. They still have earthquakes in that area.
One of my Christmas cactii is re-blooming too. I hope it means spring!
