This is where my powers of description fail me! All my trees are with my Christmas decorations, now packed away in boxes again. I have a set of six tiny wax decorated Christmas trees, all candles but I cannot burn them, they are too pretty. I have another wax tree made from a square of real beeswax rolled into a cone shape to make it look like a fir tree. A friend who died many years ago gave it me. I have a gold-coloured wire tree. Lots of fine wire bunched together make the trunk of the tree but then the wires separate to make the branches and there is a small hook at the end of each wire on which a golden leaf dangles. It shimmers and sparkles and looks very pretty. I put the wax tree and the wire tree next to our crib which contains not only the Holy Family, shepherds and kings but lots of little animal models donated over the years by the girls and a drawing of the Angel Gabriel on the roof by my elder daughter when she was 4. I love it.
Very pretty! I have a small collection of trees, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat kinds of trees do you have, Clare?
