a convenient mistake

I discovered quite by accident that my sewing machine will also take my metal bobbins, which are left over from my previous model! I put one in without thinking; it actually fits in there better than the plastic ones.


So now I instantly have twice as many as I had before.

    How lucky! I like the old metal bobbins; they seem much stronger.

    I have the opposite problem. My old hand cranked Singer refuses to slum it. Will only take originals and jams up at the sight of the ones I was assured would fit. I need to find more vintage ones. Three are not enough. Looking forward to seeing what you sew.
