I said here that in summer, the rain falls straight down, and I can leave my north-west window open. The rest of the year it falls in a slant, and would come in if I let it.
There is no season such delight can bring
as summer, autumn, winter and the spring.

How beautiful—the photo, of course, but also that you know which the direction your rain falls. I should be more observant. There is beauty in knowing these simple things.
ReplyDeleteYes, there is, and I'm sure you notice many things, Dianna! :) But it's not anything special in this case: if I have the window up when it rains, most of the time, rain will come in and I'll be sorry! It's that way most of the year, and I'm used to it. So, when I know it's supposed to rain (like tonight) I put the screen up. Over the years, I've become aware that in summer I don't need to, because it's so obviously different. :)
Deletethat's lovely! I also like all the seasons! each in their place and time! :)
ReplyDeleteYes!
Delete:-) Little tell tale signs we remember from year to year. Pretty curtains!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anne!
