I have two feet left of yarn - just enough to thread the needle and gather up the remaining stitches on the knitted hat. Wow!
And to think that when I was unwinding the hank some of it got tangled and knotted and I had to chuck it. Wow again!
Too bad I'd ended up getting another - I was getting worried and thought I'd better. So much for using up my stash; I suppose I'll have to make a matching something-or-other.
I've experienced that particular worry far too many times! I love the subtle sparkle in that yarn. Matching mitts or a cowl? Or how about a pom for the top? (Poms on hats are on-trend right now).
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I could do a pom-pom, Susan! Trendy or no. :)
Deletelooks like a lovely hat!!!
ReplyDelete:-) I've done that too. Nice hat, maybe some mittens to match?!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with knitters and their stash!? Who cares if you have a stash....that's half the fun surely.
ReplyDelete:D - Phil! In the interests of getting rid of unnecessary everythings, I realized I have a stash of yarn - although a small one - that's been just sitting there for too long. Our house is small, and if we want to be comfortable in it, we have to accept that it's a small space and not crowd too much into it. Anyway, that's what I'm aimin' for. :)
DeleteI remember having to go for extra yarn and always being nervous about finding the same dye lot.:-) I've done no knitting at all for years and years, though I do still have some of my few supplies - no yarn! I really need to sort through all of that if I'm not going to knit again.
