Christopher Hitchens, the well-known atheist writer, has cancer, and it's serious. Here is an opinion on the subject well worth reading. And pondering.
Oh, I didn't know he had cancer. I've been aware of him for years, before he moved across to the U.S. His brother, Peter Hitchens, is also a journalist and opinion columnist and is a christian and, until recently, was completely the polar opposite of him politically. I'm not surprised he has throat cancer as he's an alcoholic and smokes heavily too. I'll definitely be praying for him.

ReplyDeleteIt's quite serious - his father died of the same thing. It's interesting that he doesn't mind if Christians pray for him; he thinks it's touching.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's very interesting - it suggests an openess that is quite surprising in such a virulent atheist.
