never again

I mean, I'll never make macaroni and cheese with milk again! I made it Christmas Eve using a chicken broth "white sauce" and it was delicious, if somewhat rich. This week I used vegetable broth instead - just right. 

You should try it.

  3. I've never heard of this. I imagine in would add a depth to the flavor. Very nice. I shall have to try it, indeed.

  4. Well, that is an idea that I will be sure to try! Mac and cheese is my "go to" for the vegetarians in the family, so I couldn't use the chicken broth you mention you also used - though I would love it that way!:)

  5. I told my in-laws on Saturday about how you tried this. We're all intrigued, so I said next time I bring macaroni and cheese, I'll have to bring it made both ways so we can taste-test. :)
