"better to have than the honeycomb"

Come to me, all you that yearn for me, and be filled with my fruits;
You will remember me as sweeter than honey, better to have than the honeycomb,
He that eats of me shall hunger still,
he who drinks of me will thirst for more;
He who obeys me will not be put to shame,
he who serves me will never fail.

  2. This is lovely! There are so many references to food and drink and the pleasure of eating and drinking in the Bible. God is likened to the most delicious and precious things. I am sure those believers who think that beauty and good food are wicked are very wrong. It is only greed and selfishness that is wicked.

    1. How right you are, Clare! For instance, the way so many desserts are labelled "decadent" - how can a dessert be decadent?
