thanks to Linda

Linda brought a big bag of chunky carrots to work - I guess she'd had all she could deal with from the garden. I took a few, and waited. Almost a week later, they were still in the fridge. Just as I expected. I grabbed 'em.  Tonight, carrot soup and BLTs.

  2. Good score! Waste not, want not and all that. We've been gleaning things from the compost pile at our community garden--apparently some people are very over gardening. I found a great number of chunky/forked carrots, as well as tomatoes and peppers. The peppers were ever ripe and red and everything. I should make some carrot soup, too. Its been a while. I so enjoy the cooler weather for its soup possibilities!

  3. Julienne carrots with butter and honey are my favourite way to have carrots

    2. I've had it with butter and sugar, but of course honey is nicer.
