enjoying the view with a cool libation

Isn't that what everyone wants to do in the summer?

  1. I have been missing too much of your lovely blog, Lisa! We have had a good blueberry harvest here, and I have made oodles of things with fresh blueberries, plus added many to the freezer.

We have no clothesline here, but I well-remember the fragrance of clothes dried on the line!

Our daughter chose to have floral arrangements in blue Mason jars for her wedding this past March. They really did add a different dimension from clear glass.

Of course, a cool drink on a very hot summer is a very good thing! Is that Dolly's favorite cup?:)

    1. Nellie, Dolly's favorite cup is the one she sees me drinking out of, if she happens to be thirsty!

  2. Not surprising that Dolly likes your cups, cats prefer not to drink from metal, they will choose ceramic, or glass, I had to switch to a glass with a small rim, asI caught Coco drinking from my glass, she also helps herself to muffins, if left unattended, last weeks raseberry, macadamia and white choc chip seems to be irresistable !!!

    1. Dolly always comes over when we're eating - she wants to join in, I guess. And if she's thirsty and sees me drinking, she'll get an eager look on her face, and I know enough to fill the cup/glass with cold water and let her have some. She gets such pleasure from it. (of course, then I'm scrubbing another glass!)

I'm glad that neither of our cats seems interested in desserty things - I don't want them to have sugar if I can help it.
