a lean week

The holiday goodies are finally gone -  and I've decided we need to "eat lean" for a week. Homemade soup.
Fish.

As for dessert - healthy choices, like Anna's gingerbread and coffeecake recipes, both made with canola oil.
And fruit juice gelatins.

Today, Carrot Soup and Turkey Sandwiches. Orange gelatin dessert - Reddi Wip permitted!

  1. This looks and sounds good--all of it. I could eat vegetable soup very day and not get tired of it, and I think tomorrow will be this week's day to cook a big pot. :)

  2. It is nice, Val, isn't it? And my brother doesn't mind, either. He works late a few days a week, and I think he'd rather eat soup than something heavy at that hour.

  3. Wow. You must have had a lot of holiday goodies! They never last that long with us. :-)
Carrot soup sounds very good. Somehow it reminds me of my favourite potato-and-vegetables cream soup. I think I know what I'll have for lunch tomorrow...
